Why do you allow your cat to lie in bed with you?

When my cat follows me into the bedroom, jumps on the bed, starts rubbing his head against me because he loves me, starts purring and kneading because he’s happy, and he looks as adorable as he does, what am I supposed to do, not pet him and tell him I love him too, and not let him sleep on the bed? :)
